Product Description The ThoughtStream measures the tiny changes in your skin resistance values associated with shifts in your mood, mental state and level of arousal. The Proteus uses specially patterned sequences of sound pulses and multicolored light pulses to alter your brain wave activity. When used together, they give you the power of biofeedback rarely found even in clinical models costing thousands. Any aspect of a Proteus light & sound session can be used by the ThoughtStream as feedback. Fourteen professionally programmed light & sound biofeedback sessions are included. Custom light & sound biofeedback sessions can be designed using the Proteus Editor software. The software makes it easy to design new sessions or to create your own variations of preset sessions. The possibilities are endless. Perfect for visualization, relaxation, meditation, energizing, exploring altered states of consciousness, energizing, and more - this type of biofeedback is especially beneficial for helping learn how to relax while consciously producing a focused state. PROTEUS best-selling member of our family, with redesigned circuitry, and processor which is four times faster than the Sirius. Realtime BiColor light output. Proteus controls two color output channels in real time! This means that relaxation frequencies can be set to soothing green, while energizing frequencies are the appropriate red. We deliver the system with superbright Ruby/Emerald LiteFrames.
Totally programmable, and software-upgradeable. A simple yet powerful Windows hosted programming tool is available as a free download to registered owners. Proteus uses Flash memory for both session and operating system data. This means that you can download not only new session groups but that the operating system can be upgraded. Wavetable audio. PROTEUS includes stereo audio digital to analog converters, enabling production of binaural beats and other waveforms. Enhanced AudioStrobetm. We've fine-tuned our AudioStrobe decoder circuitry, providing a much crisper, more intense experience. 199 program capacity. Proteus ships with enhanced versions of the original Sirius sessions, together with a "best-of" assortment of programs from our other systems. A total of fifty programs are preloaded into Proteus when you receive it, and it can hold up to 199 programs in its two nonvolatile memory banks. The current package ships with Levels 1 (Progressive Biofeedback Training) and 2 ("Sensomotoric", or mind/body integration). Future modules will include a Personal Database and Level's 3 (Emotional Integration), 4 (Abstract Reasoning), 5 (Mental Design), 6 (Meta-Mental) and 7 (Trans-Mental).
Mental Games Level One
Select one of the four included compelling multimedia biofeedback training exercises, then your sensitivity (difficulty) After completing, graph your results. A large range of background scenes and animated feedback sprites are available. You can train "up", "down", or both directions in a single session. Mental Games makes use of the full 12-bit output from ThoughtStream for unparalleled accuracy!
Mental Games Level Two
Brief descriptions and screenshots from Mental Games Level II. The program has much more depth and complexity than we can convey here, with multiple difficulty levels and a range of additional parameters you can select. We think the interface, with its post-Bauhaus frame of cool, geometrical symbols to be one of the most original we've seen. What we haven't shown are the "net games", which require the Internet to access, or the fact that you can add custom games to the interface.
Digits. Click on each number in sequence. This one really sharpens your attention and ability to separate meaningful information from "clutter". Three levels of difficulty.
Music Plot. Three different ways to control music with your thoughts and feelings, while watching the results being graphed! Learn to connect to your inner states with aural perception and expand your understanding of mind/body interaction.
Insects. A full-blown video game with a twist: all those little ants running around at different speeds must be converted to ladybugs! Insects is designed to enhance your spacial processing skills. Three levels of difficulty.
Focus. This amazing set of exercises helps calibrate and expand your peripheral vision and ability to perceive fast, transient events. We find it totally engrossing, and the more difficult levels are fiendishly engrossing!
Raindrops. Catch as many falling drops as you can--and it can rain pretty hard! Integrates eye/hand coordination with perception of vertical motion. Three skill levels.
Mandalas. You're making those concentric rings rotate--in opposite directions. Three mandalas and eight fantastic ambient sountracks, selected via those little colored balls on the sides. Perfect means to achieve tranquil, meditative states of consciousness.
